James, Managing Director of Mail Online joined Associated in April 2008.

Since joining, Mail Online has become most visited site, globally on a daily basis. Topping the polls for the most unique visitors, against our competitors in January, when 75% of our daily users visited more than twice a day.

James is also a member of the board for; NLA, AOP and JICWEBS.

He previously worked for Trader Media Group (Auto Trader), where he was Group Business Development Director.  In this role James was instrumental in forming and driving the implementation of a strategy to migrate the business online.  Trader Media Group is now one of the UK's most profitable online publishers.

 James first started working in the online space before it became fashionable in 1996, as the second employee of the UK's first online sales house.  Following which, he worked for the pioneering online agency, Foresight, leading clients such as Disney, Interflora and American Express in their early online ventures.  A 2 year break from the online world saw James set up and run a dance music radio station on the South Coast of England which was later sold to Guardian Media Group. James is currently working with the Imperial War Museum on their 2014 online exhibition.

Living in South West London James is a keen snowboarder, holder of a European motor racing licence and has just completed an MBA at Henley.
