Stephen began his career at global brand valuation and strategy
consultancy, Brand Finance, where he advised companies on maximising
shareholder value through effective brand management. In addition he
produced significant studies, including comprehensive reports on global
intangible assets.
His annual study of City Analysts, was vital in understanding the
importance of marketing metrics in forecasting companies’ performance.
It become a highly anticipated study and is still the only brand report
to gain real penetration and engagement within the square mile.
In 2001 Stephen joined Superbrands UK with a remit to elevate the
organisation’s profile. Following great success in enhancing
Superbrands’ PR, events and wider membership proposition Stephen became
Managing Director in 2003 where he oversaw two years of significant
growth. Given a European role in 2005, his expertise was used across 20
countries. As the public face of Superbrands he has built the brand into
a powerful name across the UK and Europe.
In 2006 he set up his own business and in 2008 was re-united with
Superbrands who have contracted his company to run the entire
Superbrands selection process in the UK and act as its independent
spokesperson.
